Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Decoding, mastering and exporting all happen in your browser with the Web Audio API. The only exception is a file format your browser cannot read (for example AIFF in Chrome or WMA): that file is sent once to our server, converted to lossless FLAC and deleted immediately.
Which file types can I import?
WAV, AIFF, FLAC, MP3, AAC/M4A, OGG, Opus and WMA, plus the audio track of video files such as MP4, MOV, MKV and WebM. You can import several tracks at once.
What does intensity do?
Intensity scales everything a preset does at once: the amount of EQ, compression, saturation, stereo width and loudness. Light keeps more of your original dynamics, Heavy is louder and denser.
What do I get when I download?
A stereo master at the sample rate of your original, as WAV (16- or 24-bit) or MP3 (320 kbps). With several tracks you can download everything as one ZIP.
What does Input Gain do?
When you import a track we measure its loudness and set the input level so every preset hits the processing at the right level. You can override it in the Input Gain menu.
